Walking Photo Tours and Street Photography Workshops in NYC

Group Street Photography Workshops

SNYC's Street Photography Workshops are a popular way for visitors to NYC and New Yorkers to learn the techniques and skills of street photography and explore the city.

My group street photography workshops are a popular way for visitors to NYC and New Yorkers to learn the techniques and skills of street photography while exploring one of New York's exciting urban neighborhoods. Workshops are regularly held throughout the year and you'll find the upcoming workshops below. Each neighborhood has different characteristics and we use different styles of shooting and every workshop is different. If you're visiting NYC and there isn't a workshop scheduled for the day you would like to take one, a private tour or photography workshop might be for you! Please don't hesitate to contact me if you require any further information. Gift certificates are available too!

Jackson Heights Street Photography Workshop

  • Bushwick, New York City (map)

This is about a 4 hour street photography workshop held by street photographer, Leanne Staples. There is almost 1 hour of travel time round trip with 4 hours of scheduled shooting time. We meet at Grand Central Terminal at track 24 and leave from there.

We spend the entire time on the street shooting, discussing and reviewing. Whether it's a fear of shooting strangers, composition or techniques or even feeling more comfortable using your camera, we work on all of these. It is assumed that you have a basic working knowledge of how to use your camera. All digital cameras are good for the workshop.

This workshop takes place in Jackson Heights, Queens and is limited to 5 people. We leave from Grand Central Terminal by subway to the workshop location.

The workshop runs rain or shine with the exception of extreme weather. Make certain to have fully charged batteries, empty memory cards, wear comfortable shoes and prepare for the weather. You can find more information and reviews on my tours at Shoot New York City
