Walking Photo Tours and Street Photography Workshops in NYC

Group Street Photography Workshops

SNYC's Street Photography Workshops are a popular way for visitors to NYC and New Yorkers to learn the techniques and skills of street photography and explore the city.

My group street photography workshops are a popular way for visitors to NYC and New Yorkers to learn the techniques and skills of street photography while exploring one of New York's exciting urban neighborhoods. Workshops are regularly held throughout the year and you'll find the upcoming workshops below. Each neighborhood has different characteristics and we use different styles of shooting and every workshop is different. If you're visiting NYC and there isn't a workshop scheduled for the day you would like to take one, a private tour or photography workshop might be for you! Please don't hesitate to contact me if you require any further information. Gift certificates are available too!

Hell's Kitchen Street Photography Workshop

  • Hell's Kitchen, New York City (map)

New York City is fabulous for street photography and Hell’s Kitchen is always rich with opportunities to capture street photography. The world has changed since the pandemic and with it, the way we see and what we see have changed.

In this workshop we will explore how to;

* Use composition to capture better photos

* Explore different styles of shooting street photography

* Choose optimal camera settings for street photography

* Learn techniques to overcome a fear of shooting street

* Practice seeing with new eyes

This is a 4 hour street photography workshop in Hell’s Kitchen and is limited to 5 people. We spend the entire time on the street shooting, discussing and reviewing. No matter what your level of experience is, amateur to professional, there's something for everyone and we always have a good time. All digital cameras are good for the workshop. And film works too! We'll stop for coffee and to discuss at some point as well.

This workshop is limited to 5 people and social distancing and proper face covering are practiced as deemed necessary.

The workshop runs rain or shine with the exception of extreme weather. Make certain to have fully charged batteries, empty memory cards, wear comfortable shoes and prepare for the weather. You can see some of my recent street photography in the NYC Photo Galleries.

"Suddenly what was just a simple sidewalk market becomes so much more behind a lens. I would highly recommend.” You can see more reviews on my workshops and tours.
